Joining an existing vanpool is a quick, easy, and affordable way to make
your work commute more enjoyable. Pace’s Vanpool Incentive Program (VIP)
numbers more than 500 Vanpools from all corners of Pace’s 6-county service
region.
This interactive mapping tool is an innovative way for you to find an
existing Vanpool. When you locate a
Vanpool you are interested in joining, email us at vip.rep@pacebus.com. For more information, or to form a brand new
Vanpool, email vip.sales@pacebus.com.

(Note: For
intersections enter “&” or “and” between the two street names, for example,
Golf Rd. & Arlington Heights Rd.)

the maximum distance you wish to travel to meet the Vanpool

If
you mistakenly enter the wrong search parameters, please click on Back to Last Page to begin a fresh search.
(To ensure that a brand-new search is performed, please do not use your
browser’s Back button. Click Back to Last Page instead.)
The results of
your search are shown on an interactive map with the origin/destination
addresses or municipalities represented as two green dots. A
search for All Vanpool Routes shows all Vanpool routes in the six-county
region--Zoom In (see below) as needed to see detail.
When a Vanpool
is found, the route is highlighted in red on the map. If
more than one Vanpool is found, all routes appear in red on the map. Details
about the Vanpool(s) are shown in the table below the map. Check
the table to ensure that the origin/destination are
correct ,
and to determine whether the start and end times meet your needs.
To view one
particular route, enter the route number in Highlight (see below) to
view the route on the map in yellow.
When you find a Vanpool you are interested in joining, contact Pace at
vip.rep@pacebus.com.
If no Vanpool
is found, the map will show only two green dots representing the origin and
destination.

Click the button beside Zoom In, position the pointer
over the map and left-click to decrease the scale and see a smaller area.
Ø
Click the button beside Zoom Out, position the pointer
over the map, and left-click to increase the scale and see a larger area.
Ø
To re-center the map, click the button beside Reposition,
then
position the pointer where you would like the map to center and left-click.
To increase the speed at which the
map loads and re-loads, increase the Factor.
These controls
allow you to add and remove different layers of information to and from the
map. Data which can be
added/removed from the routes includes:

Check and
uncheck the boxes as desired, then click on the Refresh Map button to
add or remove layer(s) of information.
Greater levels of detail are more easily visible when the map is zoomed-in, displaying a
relatively small area.
Do not add many layers of information to a map displaying a large geographical area as
the map will be difficult to read.
Use this tool to see detailed
information about all Vanpools in a certain destination or origin muncipality,
or information about one particular Vanpool.
Select destination, origin, or vanpool number using the pull-down menu, enter the
information,
then
click Enter. The results of this
query are not displayed on the map, but are shown in the table below the
map. To view a particular route on
the map, enter the route number in Highlight (see below). To
view every route found by the query, click on the Show All (see below)
button.
This tool makes it easy to see one
particular Vanpool route on the map.
To highlight a route, enter the Vanpool number and press Enter. The
Vanpool route is highlighted on the map in yellow. (To
find a Vanpool number, see Query above.)
Click on the Show All button to see
every Vanpool route found as the result of a Query (see above).
